2019 Nissan Maxima Arrives with Bolder Looks, New Safety Features

The 2019 Nissan Maxima features a bold sporty look with a bigger grille, diamond cut wheels and LED lighting that catches your attention. The new 2019 Maxima includes Nissan Safety Shield 360 that adds a collection of driver assist features as an available package.

You’ll be able to buy the 2019 Maxima starting in mid-December 2018 in five trim levels with two optional packages.

Building on decades of Maxima vehicles, Nissan is positioning the 2019 Maxima as “near luxury sports sedan” and it has the looks and specs to match the claim. We’ll need to drive it to see if the 300-horsepower V6 with sport tuned steering, suspension and braking lives up to the promise.

The new exterior includes standard jewel-like LED headlights and a larger grille up front. At the rear, you get quad tip exhaust and a new sport spoiler on the Maxima SR trim. There are new Hyper Silver Platinum Reserve Wheels and a new Sunset Drift paint color.

Inside you’ll find a driver focused cockpit and room for five. There are new features including the Ragusa Tan semi-aniline leather that is similar to the Nissan GT-R Premium package.

The Nissan Safety Shield 360 system is standard on the Maxima Platinum and part of the SR Premium package. It includes;

• Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection
• Blind Spot Warning
• Rear Cross Traffic Alert
• Lane Departure Warning
• High Beam Assist
• Rear Automatic Braking

You will also find radar cruise control, high beam assist, traffic sign recognition and drive alertness on the 2019 Maxima.

There are two optional packages to add, the SR Premium Package and the Platinum Reserve Package. The SR Premium package includes a Dual Panel Panoramic Moonroof, Safety Shield 360 technology, Intelligent Around View Monitor and other features. The Platinum Reserve Package features exclusive 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, heated rear seats and the Rakuda Tan semi-aniline interior treatment.
