If you're even remotely interested in upgrading to Apple's new and expensive iPhone X in October, think about holding off on a pre-order so that you can compare the two devices in person.

The iPhone X goes on sale for the first time on October 27th with a release date in the United States confirmed for November 3rd. It won't arrive until November but there's a chance Apple and its partners showcase the device in stores ahead of the launch date. 

If you're interested in the iPhone X you'll want to compare the device's size and features to the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in person before you blindly spend $1000 on a phone. 

We expect some iPhone 8 stock to sell out on Friday but we expect shipping times to improve in November and December as the hype starts to die down and Apple's supply chain is able to ramp up production.
