macOS Sonoma 14.4 brings new features for Business Updates in Messages.

Apple says these updates let users get updates that you've opted into, like order status, flight notifications, fraud alerts, or other transactions from trusted businesses.

macOS Sonoma 14.2 delivered improvements to the Messages app on Mac. If you missed macOS Sonoma 14.4, macOS Sonoma 14.3.1, macOS Sonoma 14.3, macOS Sonoma 14.2.1, and macOS Sonoma 14.2, you'll get these changes with macOS Sonoma 14.4.1.

There's a new catch-up arrow that lets you easily jump to your first unread message in a conversation by tapping the arrow in the top-right corner.

You can also now stickers as reactions to messages sent by friends and family. 

As for macOS Sonoma itself, it didn't overhaul the Messages app, but it has some very useful improvements on board.

These include enhancements to Search filters where you can now combine filters to narrow a search through your messages. This is great if you often have to wade through a ton of messages to track down something specific. 

In addition, you can now share your location, or request a friend’s location, using the plus button. When someone shares a location with you, you can see it within your conversation.

There's a new stickers drawer where you can access all of your Live Stickers and Memoji in one place and Stickers now sync with iCloud so you can easily find them on your iPhone or iPad.
