4 Reasons to Wait for the Galaxy Book 3 & 3 Reasons Not To

Wait for Better Performance

Wait for Better Performance

As we mentioned, we know next to nothing about the Galaxy Book 3 right now. We haven't seen any rumored specs yet so there's no telling what'll be on board exactly. That said, you can expect a number of performance upgrades on the next-gen model, if there is one.

One of the knocks on the Galaxy Book 2 was its performance. The 4GB of RAM wasn't, and still isn't, enough for a lot of working professionals. Likewise, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 processor simply isn't powerful enough for intense work.

It also has its fair share of limitations. For instance, some apps won't work with the Galaxy Book. Others just crash upon launch.

Unfortunately, Samsung didn't offer any other spec options with the Galaxy Note 2 so what you see is what you get.

Our hope is that Samsung took these complaints to heart and plans to release a far more powerful version of the Galaxy Book in 2019.

We could see upgrades to the processor and RAM, something that would certainly be welcomed, and some changes to the front-facing camera.

Keep an eye out for rumors as we push through the summer. If Samsung is cooking up a new model, we should learn about its specs well in advance.
