Smart Lock on Galaxy S7

Smart Lock is another one of my favorite features and works amazingly well with the fingerprint scanner on the Galaxy S7. Many don't even know it exists either.

There is no need to mess with lockscreens when you're driving, or at home where a phone doesn't need to be secure. Smart lock skips a lockscreen method when it knows your phone is in a trusted place.

Smart lock basically turns off your fingerprint lockscreen security measure, password, or a pin in certain situations. Smart Lock uses your location to know you’re home, and disabled the fingerprint lockscreen security, or whatever method you chose. Only when you're home. 

Head to Settings > Lockscreen & security > Secure lock settings > Smart Lock

Smart Lock can also learn your car stereo through bluetooth, and will disable the lockscreen method when a user is inside their car, or a vehicle you frequent, and other things of that nature. Even set your home address as a trusted place. Once you leave, the fingerprint security automatically comes back on. Use your phone with ease, and without having to unlock it, only in secure areas or locations. Give it a try today.
