This shouldn't come as much of a surprise, but you can expect the iPhone 13 series to deliver better performance than its predecessors. Digitimes says TSMC has started production of Apple's new A15 chip. This timeframe was reported by the same publication earlier this year. According to Chinese publication cnBeta, Apple has ordered more than 100 million A15 chips in the buildup to the iPhone 13's release date. The A15 processor should build on last year's A14 chip and help the iPhone 13 series surpass the iPhone 12 series' performance. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes the iPhone 13 models will have larger battery capacities than the iPhone 12 models. A rumor shared by Twitter user l0vetodream backs this up. Taiwanese firm Trendforce believes design changes will allow Apple to pack larger batteries into the iPhone 13 series. According to a rumor out of China, the iPhone 13 will support faster 25W charging speeds. The iPhone 12 series supports fast charging up to 20W. | |||||||||||||||||
