13 Things to Know About Battlefield 1 Apocalypse DLC

The official announcement doesn't mention a new army or faction, but there's a chance DICE is holding back some details for a future announcement.

There's speculation (based on leaks from the CTE) that we could see the Canadians and/or the Irish added to the game when Apocalypse arrives. Nothing is confirmed and the official announcements didn't confirm one way or the other.

Two things that are missing? A new Elite class and new Operations.

As for the rest of the content, you can expect the new DLC to deliver new challenges including Codexes and additional ranks. It'll also come with new Service Assignments, Dogtags, and a new Specialization.

The dog tag you see here obviously isn't new. That said, it looks like DICE is planning to bring several new dog tags to the game with the Apocalypse DLC.

If you hate spoilers, don't click this link. If you don't care, click it to take a look some of the new dog tags coming with the next DLC. There are some, well, interesting additions.

The Battlefield 1 Apocalypse DLC will come with one brand new Specialization type and it's aimed at the game's pro players.

DICE is calling the new Specialization type "Affliction" and Afflictions will hamper your soldier in a variety of ways.

You can activate ”Mortal” to lose 500 score for each respawn you take or, if you really want to challenge yourself, you can turn on “Paranoia” and play with the Gas Mask on constantly.

We expect DICE to test the new Specialization on the CTE.
