The iPhone SE 2020 isn't waterproof, but it does provide excellent protection against water and dust. 

Apple rates the iPhone SE 2020 to survive in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes. You won't be able to take it deep sea diving, but this will protect it against an accidental fall into a puddle or toilet. 

The iPhone SE 2020's design is also dust resistant which provides added durability.  

If you want more protection you'll want to look into newer models like the iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 Pro.

Apple's iPhone 11 is water-resistant for 30 minutes and up to 2 meters. This is double the depth of the iPhone XR.
