The next iPhone 5 update will arrive later this month. During its MacBook Pro event, Apple confirmed a December iOS update. The update will bring the new Apple TV app to the iPhone and iPad. It didn't confirm a version number on stage but Apple's iOS 10.2 beta features the new Apple TV app on board so it's all but certain to roll out in December. The iOS 10.2 update is available for iPhone 5 right now via Apple's beta program. If you don't want to become a paid developer, you can download the software for free via Apple's Beta Software Program. Apple's iOS 10.2 update also features 70+ new emoji characters. It's shaping up to be a solid upgrade and you'll want to keep an eye on it as we push toward a release. For more on the iOS 10.2 release, take a look at our roundup. | ||||||||||
