iOS 12.5.6 might be the last iOS update for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Apple won't upgrade either device to iOS 13, iOS 14, iOS 15, or iOS 16. 

We could see Apple release iOS iOS 12.6/12.5.7 down the road, but that's far from guaranteed.
