August 1-4 Forzathon Tips: 3 Star Splash Down Danger Sign, Win Nissan GTR HE

Published

on

The August 1st to 4th Forzathon lets you win a Nissan GTR HE, 95,000 XP, 35,000 Credits and three wheel spins. This three-day event lasts all the way through the weekend so that you can level up, grab a sweet car and hopefully score some added credits and cars from wheel spins. Getting three stars on the Splash Down Danger Sign is challenging, but with these August Forzathon tips, you can nail it quickly.

You will need to use a specific car to win the Nissan GTR Horizon Edition, so you may need to hit up the auctions or auto show to find the Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R. You cannot complete the high Flying Danger challenge in this Forzathon without using this car.

We’ll show you where to start to easily 3-star the  Splash Down Danger Sign in the Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R, and point you to a tune that will help you knock it out easily. You can practice now, but you need to wait until the Forzathon starts to get any rewards. If rewards don’t show up, check out how to fix it in our Forza Horizon 3 problems guide.

There are four challenges attached to the August 1st through 4th Forzathon. You can complete three of them offline, while you will need to go online for one of the challenges. Thankfully, you can pick up the free 2012 Nissan GTR Black Edition Horizon Edition offline. The rest of the challenges are;

  • Catch My Drift – Get 3 Stars on a Drift Zone – 95,000 XP
  • High Flying Danger Starts – Get 3 Stars on the Splash Down Danger Sign in a Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R – Nissan GTR HE
  • Tokyo Lightning – Complete a Co-Op Race in a Japanese car – 3 Wheelspins
  • Brake Test – Perform 20 Drift Skills to receive 35,000 CR

Compared to the Danger Sign challenge, the rest are pretty easy, but we’ll also point you to the best place to get 3-stars on a drift zone and which car to use.

How to 3 Star the Splash Down Danger Sign

The Splashdown Danger Sign is tough to beat with the stock Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R, so you will likely want to upgrade it or simply load Stevio2175’s tune for the car. You can search for him in the tuning store by that name. Download that tune, or look for another one for Splashdown or August Forzathon and you will be ready to go. In all, you’ll spend about 150,000 credits to get the car and get the upgrades if you don’t already own it.

You’ll also need to make sure you have this danger sign unlocked. If you are a newer player you will need to make sure that it is leveled up. You may be able to find it unlocked in a public online match, but those don’t always count.

Once you get the Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R and tune it, you can use the starting position in the video above and game settings to find the right path and style to go at the danger sign.

To pick up a lot of credits fast, you should go to the Silver Sands Drift Zone. This is pretty close to the danger sign, so just head closer to the shore or pop up to the festival and switch into your favorite drifting car.

Once here you only need 25,000 points to get three stars, so it should be an easy unlock. While you do this, you will also get Drift Skills. Round up 20 of them to get 35,000 credits.
