There are over 70 high-risk Android apps that cost you money every day by using more data than you think, causing problems with your connection, exposing your security or privacy and absolutely destroying your Android battery life.
No matter what carrier you use, you need to be cautious of these high-risk Android apps that can cause problems on your phone. These are popular apps that many of us rely on to pass the time and the odds are very good that you have at least two or three of these Android apps installed.
Verizon Wireless identifies 70+ high-risk Android apps that can cause the following problems with your Android phone. Even if you use T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T or a pre-paid carrier the impact is still the same. All of these are on the Google Play Store, but can still cause problems.
Here are four areas where you may run into problems with high-risk Android apps;
- Loss of functionality (e.g., loss of data connection)
- Unexpected high data usage
- Battery draining 2 or 3 times faster than normal
- Security or privacy exposure
You can still safely use many of these Android apps if you force close them when you are done. To do this, press the app drawer button on your phone and then slide the app to the left to close it. This will stop it from using your battery and it will stop it from using data that can cost you money.
