Make a Phone Call with Alexa

 You can make a phone call with Alexa if you have the right home phone service. With Ooma, you can make calls using the Ooma Telo or with the free Ooma service that includes 300 minutes a month.  

In the Alexa app, search for Ooma, add the skill and then link your Ooma account. Once you set this up and link it you can say, "Alexa use Ooma to call Adam." Or use a specific number.  

You can also call someone using your Echo by turning on Alexa to Alexa calling. This lets you add contacts and then you can cell them using Alexa. With this option, you can call their Alexa devices and if they have it set up, you can call their phone or tablet with the Alexa app installed. With this option, you can even make video calls if you have the Echo Show. 

This will not turn your Echo into a speakerphone, though. Instead, your cell phone or home phone will ring and then the call will dial in the recipient.
