Another excellent choice is the cheap and well-rounded NVIDIA Shield K1 that was released in late 2015. NVIDIA is popular in the desktop space for making graphics cards, but they're slowly getting more popular in mobile. The NVIDIA Shield Tablet K1 is probably the best price/performance tablet on our list, and nearly matches the Nexus 9, but costs only $199.
It employs an 8-inch 1080p HD display, the powerful Quad-core NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage as well as micro-SD support, 5 megapixel front and rear cameras, and even dual front facing speakers. They released a Shield Tablet in 2014 that was decent, and the new K1 is essentially the same tablet with a few improvements, better battery life, runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow already, and was lowered to $199 to make it the best Android tablet under $200, hands down. The SHIELD Tablet K1 is as we mentioned above, one of a few tablets already running Marshmallow. There isn't a charger in the box, but most likely all users have a micro-USB cable somewhere to charge it. Buy the SHIELD Tablet K1
