Use the New Force Touch Sensor

Instead of tapping the AirPods and wondering if your double-tap registered, the AirPods Pro feature a Force Touch sensor.

With this new sensor, you squeeze the AirPods Pro stalk to control options. This allows you to turn Noise Cancelling on and off, and to control AirPod features like play, pause, next track or Siri.

You have to configure this in settings, so you can't always control each of these, but you can set up the Force Touch to handle the controls that required taps before.
