Fallout 4 Crafting

At E3 2015, Bethesda detailed the crafting aspect of Fallout 4. Players will be able to craft weapons and armor but they'll also be able to create settlements that attract settlers including merchants that sell rare gear.

This is exciting for people that love this sort of thing. For others, it might feel a little overwhelming. Well, this month, Bethesda confirmed that crafting won't be necessary to complete the game. You don't need to modify your gear and you don't need to build a ton. These are extras.

Hines says that Fallout 4's crafting system will be completely optional so if all you want to do is the main quest and side quests, you can simply stick to the quests without delving into crafting. That's big if you're not going to have a lot of time to play.
