Galaxy S7 Edge vs Note 7: Display

The Galaxy Note 7 has a bigger 5.7-inch Quad-HD display, with the same curved "Edge" design as the Galaxy S7 Edge. It's hard to see from the photo, but the curve is actually less pronounced and visible on the Galaxy Note 7. The edge is still there, but it curves into the body in a smooth way.

Samsung actually states it isn't as curved as the Galaxy S7 Edge, but still curved enough to be useful. They're both great, but I don't use the Edge all that much, and buying either one you'll get to try it too. At least it looks cool.

Either way the Galaxy Note 7 will be slightly larger than the S7 Edge physically and in terms of the screen size, but not by much. Looking at the photo you can see they're almost the same size. The smaller S7 Edge has more pixels per inch on the screen so technically has a better display. The Note 7 gets brighter though. Both have stunning Quad-HD Samsung Super AMOLED screens that are the best on the market.

At the end of the day, if you think you can handle a phone bigger than the Galaxy S7 Edge and want the latest and greatest the Note 7 is for you. If 5.5-inches is big enough and the Stylus isn't all that important, grab the Galaxy S7 Edge.

If the S-Pen isn't something you need often, and the S7 Edge size is close enough, we'd highly recommend buying it while Samsung sorts out the Note 7 recall and battery woes.
