Galaxy S10+ vs Galaxy S10 5G: Camera(s)

Honestly, we wouldn't recommend anyone buy the S10 5G just for the "5G". Instead, buy it for the insanely long battery life and all those fancy cameras. Speaking of the cameras, here's what you'll get if you choose Samsung's big boy.

Galaxy S10+ Cameras

  • 12 Megapixel f/1.5-2.4 variable aperture camera with 960 FPS slow-mo, 4k, etc
  • 12 MP f/2.4 telephoto 52mm lens, OIS, 2x optical zoom
  • 16 MP f/2.2 Ultra-wide angle camera
  • Dual 8 and 10MP f/1.9 front-facing cameras with 4K, portrait mode, face unlock & more (second 8MP for depth sensing)

Galaxy S10 5G Cameras

  • 12 Megapixel f/1.5-2.4 variable aperture camera with 960 FPS slow-mo, 4k, etc
  • 12 MP f/2.4 telephoto 52mm lens, OIS, 2x optical zoom
  • 16 MP f/2.2 Ultra-wide angle camera
  • Time of Flight (TOF) Camera
  • Dual 10MP f/1.9 front-facing cameras with 4K, portrait mode, face unlock & more (extra TOF front camera for selfies, etc)

That TOF sensor on the front makes the notch a little bigger, but it apparently improves portrait selfies by gathering extra depth information, resulting in stunning photos.

However, it's that fourth Time of Flight camera on the back that's really special. You combine it with the other three and this phone is capable of some amazing photos or video. More specifically, the Galaxy S10 5G's fourth rear camera can capture all that depth information in real-time, even when you're recording video.

Samsung claims the S10 5G can deliver crazy live bokeh while recording video, which no other model can do. Basically, whether you're taking a photo or a video the people or subject matter will stay in focus more than ever before.
