Dolby Atmos support is finally coming to the Galaxy S8. Samsung first brought Dolby Atmos to the Galaxy S line with the introduction of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ last year. Since then, the company has rolled it out to an array of devices not called Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+. That changes with Android Pie. When the Galaxy S8 Android Pie update rolls out, Dolby Atmos should be on board. Of course, it won't be the same as it is on the Galaxy S9. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ don't have stereo speakers which means the devices only get support for wired and Bluetooth audio. That said, Galaxy S8 users should notice louder, improved audio while running Android Pie. Samsung's also including Movie, Music, and Voice modes. | |||||||||||
