If you use your Galaxy Tab to text friends, there are a few reasons to get excited about the Android Oreo update. It comes with some major upgrades to Samsung's stock keyboard.

Samsung hasn't confirmed, but we expect some of the changes from its new Experience 9.0 UI to make it to newer Galaxy tablets. There's no way these devices miss out on the new emojis.

The company's Android 8.0 Oreo update brings new emojis to Galaxy keyboards. They look much better than the emojis from Android Nougat.

If you still aren't familiar with Android 8.0 Oreo's new emojis, you can get a good look at them right here ahead of the update's release.

Samsung's update also includes additional changes. For instance, the keyboard toolbar now gives you quick access to your most important functions. There's also native GIF support.

Also included are some new high-contrast keyboards that'll be a little bit easier on the eyes.

So big improvements from Nougat's stock keyboard. Who knows, maybe it'll be enough to get you to switch over from your favorite third-party keyboard.
