How to Fix AirPrint Issues
We’ve seen a growing number of complaints about AirPrint issues and some iPhone and iPad users are saying the function is broken after installing Apple’s latest software.
If you’ve run into problems with AirPrint, here are some solutions that could help.

If you’ve been trying to use AirPrint on your iPhone or iPad to print something, and the function isn’t working, the first thing to check is the printer itself.
In order for it to work, the printer needs to be AirPrint-enabled. If you aren’t sure if the print has said functionality, consult the manual or look it up online. You can also look up your printer on Apple’s website.
If you’re positive it supports AirPrint, make sure your iPhone or iPad is connected to the same Wi-Fi network the printer is connected to. You’ll also need to be in range of the printer so the devices can communicate.
Once you’ve double-checked all of that, make sure both your iPhone or iPad, and your printer, are running the latest software.
iOS 17 users who have run into problems with AirPrint have reported success after installing the latest firmware on the printer. Instructions will vary so you may need to consult the printer’s manual for the proper way to go about this.
We’ve also seen users report success after they disabled their VPN or turned off their device’s Private Relay function in the Settings app.
Private Relay, which is included with iCloud+, masks your IP address and Safari browsing activity from network providers and websites.
