HTC Merge Arriving on U.S. Cellular April 29th?
The HTC Merge, a world phone Android smartphone for CDMA carriers with global roaming capabilities, may be making its official debut on regional carrier U.S. Cellular come this Friday, April 29th if leaked documents are correct. According to popular blog Engadget, which obtained a screenshot of the carrier’s launch plan, the carrier is prepping to launch the HTC-made device with the HTC Sense user interface on 4/29.
The Merge is a device that takes on a similar form factor to the T-Mobile G2 and the Sprint HTC EVO Shift 4G with a 3.8-inch display, sliding QWERTY keyboard, CDMA network support, and SIM card for global travels.
In the U.S., rival Alltel had announced the device for the price of $125 with a contract and the Merge is also speculated to land on Verizon Wireless.
