Monitor Early iOS 12 Beta Feedback

If this will be your first time trying a beta and/or you're using an older device like the iPhone SE or iPhone 6, we highly recommend waiting a few hours or a few days before installing the iOS 12 beta.

Older devices typically have the most trouble with new software and new operating systems in particular. If you own a older iPhone or iPad you'll want to be careful with iOS 12 beta. This is particularly true if you're coming to it from an older version of iOS.

Apple is only signing off on iOS 11.4.1 beta, iOS 11.4, and iOS 11.3.1 which means that once you make the move to iOS 12, you can only drop back down to one of those. There's no going back to iOS 11.3, iOS 11.2, or whatever it is you're currently running.

So, you'll want to be one hundred percent confident in your decision to move to iOS 12 beta. One way to do that is by digging into feedback from iOS 12 beta testers.

We expect a ton of feedback to emerge on day one and it might be a good idea to comb through this initial feedback to learn about potential benefits, and problems, with the iOS 12 beta for your device.

If you aren't feeling confident, you might want to wait for long-term iOS 12 beta feedback to emerge.
