When to Expect the iOS 14 Release Date
As for the official iOS 14 release, you can expect it to take place sometime this fall alongside Apple's new 2020 iPhones.
Apple typically keep new iOS software in beta for several months as it works to eradicate bugs. It's also standard practice for the company to launch new iOS software alongside new hardware in the fall. We aren't expecting anything different in 2020.
The company is reportedly cooking up new 5G-powered iPhones for 2020 and they will almost certainly run iOS 14 out of the box.
We don't have any concrete dates to share right now, but Apple almost always launches new iPhones in September/October ahead of Black Friday and the holidays.
iPhone 12 release date rumors claim that Apple could push the release into October (or later) due to supply chain issues caused by the coronavirus outbreak.
Either way, at this stage, you can expect Apple to announce an iOS 14 release date alongside the new iPhone models sometime this fall.
Look for iOS 14 to roll out to older iPhone models a few days before the new 2020 iPhones hit shelves.
