No Need to Wait If You Still Want a 4-inch Phone

If you're planning to upgrade and you want to stick with a small-screen iPhone model, you might think about upgrading in the near future.

Apple is rumored to have multiple iPhone models up its sleeve for 2018, but an iPhone SE 2 probably isn't in the cards for 2018.

We haven't seen any credible rumors point to a surprise iPhone SE 2 launch this fall so if a launch does happen, it might not occur until next year.

If you want to stick with a 4-inch iPhone you're looking at a few different options which, again, probably won't change much once the fall rolls around.

You can look around for an iPhone 5s (Apple no longer sells it) or you could opt for the iPhone SE, a much newer 4-inch model. Both devices are solid, cheap alternatives to the iPhone 5.

The iPhone 5s and iPhone SE will both get upgraded to the iOS 12 update this fall though there are some key differences between the two.

The iPhone SE is newer and comes with 2GB of RAM (iPhone 5s has 1GB), better cameras, an A9 chip with 64-bit architecture, and Apple Pay support.
