iPhone 6s Plus vs Nexus 6P: Price

iPhone 6s Plus vs Nexus 6P: Price

We could go on and on about build quality, features, specs, the speed of the fingerprint scanner and more, but will save all that for when we have both phones. What buyers do need to know though, and something that is important, is the price. The iPhone 6s Plus is and always will be expensive.

Google's Nexus 6P though, isn't. In fact, you could almost buy two for the price of one iPhone 6s Plus. Is it really worth that much? Here's the breakdown.

  • iPhone 6s Plus 16GB - $749 (or 64GB for $849) from Apple
  • Nexus 6P 32GB - $499 from the Google Store  (64GB is $549)

With the Nexus 6P buyers get a great experience and double the storage (32GB) for only $499, compared to $749 for the 16GB iPhone, then you'll need to spend $849 to get more than 16GB, which everyone needs if they're downloading games, taking photos, and enjoying a "smartphone" to the fullest.

This is a huge difference, and something many need to consider. When you think about how both phones have great cameras, fingerprint scanners, aluminum designs, and tons of features, the price is important. Of course many Apple faithful will pay it willingly, not to mention carriers have payment plans, 2-year contracts, and more.

Most can get the new iPhone 6s Plus for under $30 a month with monthly payments, but that isn't the case with the Nexus 6P. You'll need to buy it outright from Google, or make payments through Project Fi.

It's worth noting the Nexus 6P isn't sold by carriers, offered on contracts, or in payment plans, but works with all major US carriers. It's a tough choice, but for those that want one of the best smartphones on the planet for under $500, the Nexus 6P is it.

If you're willing to spend more, or are deeply integrated into the Apple world, the iPhone 6s Plus and its beautiful 5.5-inch display will be great for years to come. In the end this all comes down to Android vs iOS for most, but regular users that have no preference, will want to serious debate all each has to offer (and the fact that the smaller screen iPhone 6s Plus is physically bigger) and decide what they'd like to buy.

Choose what you want, and enjoy.

Got the 64 graphite 6p ordered and waiting. You should note that Huawei is financing the 6p.
