Given the demand for the iPhone X we expect to see problems emerge during the pre-order period. The pre-order period stretches from October 27th to November 3rd. 

We expect there to be a mad dash to pre-order the iPhone X and when this happens we usually see websites buckle under the pressure. 

A variety of issues can sprout up, but one of the more common issues is the inability to load the Apple website or your carrier website.

Apple's website sometimes takes awhile to come back online once it goes down. If this happens, you'll want to place an order through your carrier, if you can.
