Don't expect any major iPhone X deals to emerge in and around its release date.
The first batch of iPhone X deals are trade-in offers that require you to exchange a phone in good condition for money off the iPhone X price. This is as good as it's going to get. We definitely won't see any big price cuts on the expensive iPhone X price during the pre-order period and we'd be shocked if retailers offer any straight up price drops in 2017. That includes Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The first real iPhone X price drops probably won't emerge until 2018. If you can't wait that long, you're better off looking at alternatives like the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, or Galaxy Note 8.
