iPhone Xs Max vs Galaxy Note 9: Cameras

This next category is a tough one. Samsung makes some of the best cameras on Android, but Apple is usually who everyone judges the quality by. Everyone else aspires to match, compare with, or top Apple's camera system.

Both of these phones have Dual 12MP cameras on the back with new dual focus technology that uses all the pixels for a faster auto-focus, crisp photos, improved low light and more. It's really tough to compare the two, especially before we even try the iPhone Xs Max.

What you really need to know is they both have two extremely capable cameras on the back. Apple has smart HDR, depth controls to manually change the bokeh, extended dynamic range in videos, 4K video and more. It'll take amazing photos and video. These are f/1.8 aperture cameras on the iPhone.

Samsung's Galaxy Note 9 has two similar lenses. However, one has a variable aperture lens that goes from f/1.5 to f/2.4 depending on the situation. It changes like the human eye depending on the lighting situation to let in more, or less light, for the best possible photo. The Note 9 even has 960FPS slo-mo recording.

We can't really compare the two cameras yet, but just know you'll be extremely happy with either one.
