We expect at least two iPhones to launch in September with one release potentially coming later in the year. If you recall, Apple confirmed the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X during the same launch event on September 12th, 2017. And while the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus arrived on shelves a week later, the iPhone X didn't arrive until November. History could repeat itself this year. Nothing is confirmed, but some analysts believe Apple's 6.1-inch LCD iPhone model could launch after the iPhone XS and iPhone X Plus. A research note from Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty claims Apple might push the 6.1-inch LCD release into October due to "LED backlight leakage." A more recent report from hit or miss blog Japanese blog Mac Otakara echoes Huberty's claim. The site says it hears the 6.1-inch iPhone's release date could be pushed deeper into the fall. Ming-Chi Kuo also believes the 6.1-inch LCD model will be delayed, but he hasn't released a specific time frame for the device. | |||||||||||
