Don't Expect Many, If Any, Straight Price Cuts

The first wave of iPhone XS deals will most likely be trade-in offers. We don't expect to see many, if any, straight price cuts on any of these iPhones in the early part of the launch.

The first real iPhone XS price cuts will likely come later this year, if we're lucky, once the hype from the launch has died down and inventory at Apple and its retail partners has returned to normal.

If you don't have a phone to trade-in or simply don't want to deal with the process, you might have to wait until November, December, or 2019 for a price drop.

The first serious iPhone XS deals could emerge in late November around Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the start of the holiday shopping season. 

That said, the best iPhone XS deals probably won't emerge until next year as we push toward the release of Apple's 2019 iPhone models.
