It looks like Huawei will be focusing on design and premium build quality for its next-generation flagship Android smartphone. Dubbed with a model number of P6-U06, the Huawei phone showcases a slim metal body that’s both stylish and elegant. The phone has a brush metal aluminum finish and is expected to be announced at a June 18th launch event taking place in London.
The device has a more angular look, similar to the iPhone 5, rather than a curved backside of HTC’s One flagship.
According to specs reported by Engadget, the device will feature a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of storage. A photo of the device with the screen on shows that the device will be running the Emotion UI on top of Google’s Android operating system. There is an image where the screen displays a “no SD card found” message, suggesting that there may be a micro SD card slot for expandable storage, which would make sense considering that only 8 GB of storage is available on the device.
Additionally, BGR is reporting that the phone will have a 4.7-inch 720p HD display. Unfortunately, the screen isn’t the 1080p full HD display like that on the HTC One and the screen falls on the smaller side of the spectrum considering that flagships like the Galaxy S4 are now starting with 5-inch displays.
It’s unclear what the camera resolution will be on this phone model.
It looks like we’ll have to wait until the launch event to learn more specs and information about this premium Huawwi P6-U06 phone.
