There are a lot of unknowns right now regarding Google's next phone, but we know it's coming. It'll have a big screen, a great camera, lots of AI, and the Google Assistant built-in. Just like LG's G7 has today. Whether or not you want to wait to see just how good that all is, is the question.
The LG G7 hits carrier shelves in the United States on June 1st. You'll be able to get it from every carrier except AT&T. We're assuming the price will be around $699, but they've yet to make a formal announcement. We'll update once we know more. Google's Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL likely won't get announced until September and released in October. That's another 3-4 months away. If you can hold off throughout the summer to see what Google has planned, it'll probably pay off. Just know that the LG G7 will cost less than anything Google delivers later this year. The Pixel 2 XL was almost $900. |
