LG Revolution Hitting Verizon on May 26th?

Now that Verizon has finally got the Samsung Droid Charge on shelves it’s time to turn our attention to the next 4G LTE smartphone that Verizon is set to release, the LG Revolution, which apparently could be dropping on May 26th.

LG Revolution at Best Buy

The intel, in the form of internal photos from Best Buy, indicate that the phone will be in-stock starting May 25th and because Verizon is notorious for launching phones on Thursday’s, it’s possible that we could see the device land that day.

If this is indeed true, the LG Revolution would be coming at the same time as the Sony Xperia Play and possibly on the same date as the Motorola Droid X2, although the latter’s release date or even its existence has yet to be confirmed.

This means that those of you who aren’t intrigued by the HTC ThunderBolt or the Droid Charge might finally have a third option come next week. The LG Revolution will likely cost the same $249 as the HTC ThunderBolt, a price that will of course require a new two-year deal with Big Red.

Keep an eye out for an official announcement from Verizon in the not-so-distant future.
