New Star Wars Battlefront 2 Beta Info Confirmed

EA’s released a ton of important Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta details, including PC spec requirements, ahead of its early launch on October 4th.

Next week EA DICE plans to kickoff its Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta, a way for gamers to try the new title and stress test it for bugs ahead of its official release in November.

The company’s finally confirmed the rest of the important details including the amount of hard drive space needed to download and install the game and a few additional game modes that weren’t included in the initial announcements.

The upcoming beta includes the game’s 40-player Galactic Assault and the Starfighter Assault mode. The company’s also revealed that it will include Strike and Arcade game modes.

In Strike, players will join a team of First Order troopers or Resistance fighters in team battles around Maz’s castle. It features eight on eight fighting. Arcade features single-player scenarios in Theed, the capital of Naboo.

EA’s also confirmed some key dates for the Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta that go beyond its start date (October 4th for those who pre-order by October 2nd, October 6th for everyone else) and its end date on October 9th at 4:00 PM UTC.

On October 4th, the company will launch Assault Trooper Challenges where gamers can earn rewards by completing certain challenges. On October 5th the developer will launch Battle Points and Hero Challenges. The calendar also includes Arcade Challenges on October 6th, Galactic Assault Challenges on October 7th, and Star Fighter Assault Challenges on October 8th and 9th.

The Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta spec requirements have also been confirmed.

According to EA, the Battlefront 2 minimum requirements for PC users are:

The company notes that “the “Star Wars Battlefront II Beta is among the biggest ever distributed by EA” so Xbox One, PS4, and Windows PC users should be ready for a huge download.

Early access to the Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta begins on Oct 4th at 8:00 AM UTC.
