No Man's Sky Missions, Multiplayer and Quests

When you take off in No Man's Sky you can explore the universe, but you will not find traditional missions or quests. Vine Report outlines how you will be able to play No Man's Sky.

The primary way to play is to explore the universe. You can choose to go on a journey across the sky, travel to the center of the galaxy or look for the answer to a secret.

You can also choose to explore each planet, interacting with aliens and creatures cataloguing and observing.

Another option is to act as a space pirate, claiming everything you see as your own. You can kill and steal, but watch out since there will be space police that will keep you in line if you go too far.

Another interesting option is living, trading and working with aliens on a specific planet. You can dive into this world building style and shape the planet with select weapons.

You will not find a full No Man's Sky multiplayer option in this game. The video above walks through the reasons behind the lack of a No Man's Sky multiplayer mode. It's an interesting option, but you will see that other people have been to planets.

You cannot find your friends through matchmaking, but you will see animals named after other players and other things left.

It is possible to see other players on the map, but it could take a long time to get to them and then to get to where they are on a specific planet.
