Carriers & Pricing Info
Here's where things really get interesting. The Galaxy S9 and S9+ are readily available from all major carriers (including Verizon) and it costs around $719-$859 depending on what carrier you buy it from or how much storage. That said, you can get the Galaxy S9 for $600 on Amazon, and during the holidays we've seen the price go down to $519, making it cheaper than the OnePlus 6T.
However, the OnePlus 6T gets you a pretty similar experience with some exciting upgrades for a lot less than what the Galaxy S9+ costs, even on sale.
For what it's worth, the Galaxy S9+ is only available in 64GB in the US, and carriers want a lot more than the $839 Samsung wants. Some carriers like Verizon are asking $900. At the same time, if you know where to look you can find it for around $700, or find the Galaxy S9 for just $605.
However, look at that OnePlus 6T price. That's impressive, to say the least. It's a hard phone to pass up, right? You can get it from T-Mobile stores, or unlocked online. And yes, the OP6T works on Verizon this year, which is huge.
The OnePlus 6T is hard to pass up and potentially the best phone of 2018. But now that the Galaxy S9 price is coming down, the choice is rather difficult.
