OnePlus 6T vs OnePlus 7T: Specs

Being a year newer the specs will obviously be better. However, both perform great so this isn't that big of an area of concern for "average" users. That said, there are a few notable changes under the hood you'll want to know about, and that enthusiasts very much care for. Here's what those are.

OnePlus 6T Specs

  • 6.4-inch 2340 x 1080p Full HD Optic AMOLED Display
  • Snapdragon 845 Processor with 6-8GB of RAM (Same processor as S9+/ Pixel 3)
  • 128 or 256GB of storage, no microSD slot
  • Dual 16MP camera + 20MP Rear Camera (f/1.7 aperture, OIS, EIS, 4K)  Optical image stabilization
  • 20 Megapixel f/2.0 front-facing selfie camera
  • Android 9 Pie (Android 10 soon)
  • Screen Fingerprint Unlock, Fast Face Unlock, more
  • 3,700 mAh battery with Super Fast Charging (Dash, Warp, etc)
  • Splash-Resistance
  • BT 5.0, NFC, 4G LTE, alert slider, NO 3.5mm headphone jack
  • and more

OnePlus 7T Specifications

  • 6.55-inch Full HD 1080p Fluid AMOLED Display with 90Hz refresh rate
  • Snapdragon 855+ Processor with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of fast UFS 3.0 storage (no micro-SD card expansion)
  • Triple 48MP f/1.6 OIS + 12MP f/2.2 telephoto zoom with OIS + 16MP Ultra-wide angle PDAF sensor
  • 16 Megapixel f/2.0 front-facing selfie camera
  • Android 10 running Oxygen OS 10
  • Screen Fingerprint Unlock (Optical)
  • 3,800 mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T (watt) fast charging
  • Stereo Speakers, Dolby Atmos, BT 5.0, NFC, 5G, alert slider, etc
  • N0 3.5mm headphone jack, no wireless charging, no water-resistance rating

What I've done above is highlighted in BOLD the important things. The new OnePlus 7T has a bigger screen and a higher refresh rate. Then, not only does it have the new Snapdragon 855 over the 845, but it's the faster 855+ version from Qualcomm.

This phone also packs UFS 3.0 storage (all the internal storage for apps, games, software, and the operating system) and this is very fast compared to older phones. The OnePlus 7T is one of only a few devices (like the Galaxy Fold) to have UFS3.0 inside.

Then, there's a third camera that gives you more options, along with a better f/2.2 aperture on the telephoto lens over the 6T. And finally, the OnePlus 7T has a slightly bigger battery, even faster charging, and runs Android 10 already.
