At the October Apple Event we’ll see new products from Apple including a new iPad Air 2, but the company teases, “It’s been way too long.” on the invite and the live stream leaving hope for some much awaited Apple products.

Here are five Apple products that we’ve waited long enough for from the iPod touch 6th generation and a new Apple TV to a 4k Apple Display and the elusive Mac Mini.

The October Apple event is confirmed for October 16th at 10AM Pacific and all signs point to new iPads, a Retina iMac, OS X Yosemite and iOS 8.1, but that may not be all that Apple has in store for us.

Apple teases it's been way too long for the new Apple products coming in 2014. Here's some wishful thinking.

Mac Mini 2014

Mac Mini 2014

The Mac Mini 2014 release is one that buyers started waiting for back in January when the first rumors of a new Mac Mini appeared.

This summer hints of a Mac Mini 2014 update appeared on Apple.com, but soon disappeared and we are still waiting.

Apple's current Mac Mini is two years old this month, a lifetime when it comes to technology and especially important given the affordable price that makes it an easy choice for a first Mac.

The unconfirmed Mac Mini 2014 specs would likely include Intel Haswell processors, Iris graphics, 802.11ac WiFi and potentially support for 4k displays, though that last one may be a stretch. Apple may choose a new Mac Mini design, but any smaller and it could force engineers to put the power supply on the cord instead of inside.

MacRumors claims the Mac Mini 2014 release is planned for this month based on a source, but they were not able to corroborate this claim.

It’s been way too long! I can’t afford an iPhone, and frankly don’t want one. An iPod Touch satisfies me as a mock iPhone. I have a 4th generation and really want to upgrade!! I hope they announce one on Thursday, or my spirit will be crushed

I too have waited patiently for a large ipod touch for many years but have had to cope with the small screen …..It is now time for Apple to launch a proper Ipod Plus or to introduce a BABY IPAD….or a POCKET IPAD…
It really has been way too long and I really do not want to be teased any more please.

Many other sites seem to be downplaying the likelihood of a 6G iPod Touch being introduced this month. I hope they’re wrong; we’ll soon find out.

I bet they will show off the new iPad but for sure they are going to showcase the new Apple tv. Probably new design with new features. Hoping it has hey Siri built in would be cool if it had a kinect like camera control built in as well.
