Pixel 3 vs Pixel 3 XL: Design

As for the design, these two phones are almost identical. Not only that, but they're nearly identical to the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL from 2017. (Our image above is the smaller Pixel 3, by the way).

Google's went with a premium metal and glass design, two-tone colors on the back, a big powerful single rear camera, and beautiful screens. Yes, that's glass on the back but somehow it feels like metal on the bottom half.

Why glass? That's because we finally get wireless charging in the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. Just like Apple's new iPhone Xs, and Samsung's last 4 years of phones, Google added adding wireless charging to the Pixel family. The phones remain water-resistant and have no 3,5mm headphone jack.

The design is basically the same across the board. If there's one exciting change, it's that the dual front-firing speakers are now 40% louder than before. Potentially some of the best speakers on any smartphone.
