4 Reasons to Install the Pixel Android O Update & 4 Reasons You Shouldn’t
Don't Install O if the Pixel is Your Only Device
If the Google Pixel is your only Android device that you use daily, don't install Android O. This is a very early pre-release version of Google's new software. It's not perfect, and you will have issues. My fingerprint scanner was acting up and I couldn't get the settings menu to open at one point. Google confirmed gallery, camera, and Bluetooth bugs as well. There is a big warning on the Android O download page. Take Google's advice, and only download it on a spare phone or tablet. Installing Android O on the main phone you use every single day, or take to work, is likely a bad idea. Because things could misbehave when you need them most. Now that we're on the 4th beta the experience is a little better. Still, only try it if you're prepared. At this point, it almost might be worth it just to wait for the final software in the near future.
