The iPad still shines for one of the same reasons the iPhone does -- apps are better in many cases. We often see better looking apps on the iPad and sometimes we see apps come to the iPad first. 

Yes, Android apps are getting better, but how they look may depend on what tablet you are using. There are tons of screen sizes and factors at play, which isn't as much of an issue on iPad. 

When it comes to new apps, the iPad gets earlier access. The latest example is Fortnite, which is available on iPhone and iPad, but not on Android tablets or the Amazon Fire tablets.
