The Surface Pro 4 is popular because it gets the kickstand and accessories right. The original Surface Pro had a single kickstand position and was unstable in the lap. Also, its pen felt cheap.

The Surface Pen included with the Surface Pro 4 is solid. It’s just the right thickness, and it has interchangeable tips to create the writing experience you want. Also, its cap can be used to instantly start an app, launch Cortana or act as an eraser. The Surface Pro 4 kickstand is adjustable, allowing you to create just the right angle to see its screen. Though expensive for sure, the Surface Pro 4’s keyboard is solid. It has a generous trackpad and very comfortable keys.

Other devices in the same category don’t match up to the Surface’s standards in these areas. Samsung’s Galaxy TabPro S keyboard is no match for the Surface’s Type Cover. The company sells that device’s pen separately. The Mii 510 comes close, but its keyboard isn’t nearly as comfortable and trackpad as nice. Its pen isn’t as versatile.
