4 Reasons to Buy Xbox Live Gold & 3 Reasons Not To
Don't Buy Xbox Live for the Best Deal in Gaming
Xbox Live Gold saves you money, but don’t confuse it with Xbox Game Pass. Game Pass is another Microsoft subscription that costs $9.99 a month. It doesn’t get you multiplayer access. Instead, you get access to a huge selection of video games. Think of it as Microsoft’s Games with Gold promotion, but with more titles and more games that sold for $60. On top of a better, bigger library, Game Pass subscribers get access to Xbox exclusive games on the day they launch. So, expect to pay nothing more for the next Halo, Gears of War or Crackdown game. Xbox Game Pass also includes a 20% discount on games available in its library. That way, you can add them to your collection before Microsoft switches them for newer games. You also get a 10% discount on DLC for that game. The titles you download from the Game Pass library only work as long as you keep paying Microsoft for your subscription. Xbox Game Pass subscriptions start at $9.99 on Amazon. Remember, it’s not included in Xbox Live Gold.
