Wait for a Stunning Camera Experience
We're hearing the LG V40 will come with five cameras. Yes, you read that right, five cameras. They'll use three on the back and two on the front. If you aren't thrilled with the cameras on the LG G7 or the LG V30, wait for the new V40.
LG put a ton of effort into its V30 camera setup, and advertisements, but reviews are mixed. It still didn't compete with Samsung or Google, which is exactly what it needed to do. Even if the V30 took amazing videos.
AndroidPolice states LG will compete strongly with Samsung and Apple later this year and in 2019. Detailing a new and improved 16MP main camera, a 16MP ultra wide-angle lens like most LG phones have, then a 3rd lens on the back. This could take incredibly large photos like the Huawei P20 Pro, or offer enhanced zoom, blur, or bokeh effects. We're not really sure. Either way, expect LG to make some big upgrades to the V40's camera hardware and software.
It looks like they'll also follow HTC and a few other companies, and add a secondary lens to the front of the phone. This way you'll get better selfies, wide selfies, portrait mode shots, or something else entirely. If we had to guess, LG will offer wide-angle shots on both the front and the back with the V40.
