Don't wait for the OnePlus 8 if you can't wait until May of 2020. They'll get announced on April 14th, but don't expect a release date for at least 2-3 weeks after the launch event. Plus, with all this pandemic stuff shipments could be delayed, too. 

Almost every year they announce their first phone in April and release it around May, then another during the second half of the year. The OnePlus 7 debuted in May of 2019, and we're expecting a similar release timeframe for the OnePlus 8. Originally reports claimed it would get released earlier than usual, but that clearly never happened. 

Instead, it looks like we'll get a launch event on the 14th of April, then a release 2-3 weeks later around the end of the month or the first few days of May. One leakster on Twitter with an accurate record said April 14th for the launch event, so he was spot on. 

That means you'll need to buy a OnePlus 7Pro right now, find the 7T, or wait another month for the 8. All while Samsung, Google, and potentially multiple other brands release great phones.
