Yes, the current Mac Pro is still powerful and beats many Mac models when it comes to multi-core performance, but it's operating on older processors. It's not clear what processor Apple will put in the the new Mac Pro, but you can expect them to use similar specs to the iMac Pro, which means at least up to 18 core processors. We could see even higher performance chips. The actual processor name will depend on when Apple delivers the new Mac Pro, but no matter what is inside, you'll get major performance upgrades. We also expect to see the new T2 Chip inside or an upgraded co-processor.
