Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Launch Event Confirmed for August 9

It’s official. After months of leaks and rumors, Samsung just confirmed they’ll launch the Galaxy Note 9 on August 9th in New York City. With invites going out to the press and teaser videos on Twitter, here’s what you need to know.

The company just sent out invitations to a Galaxy Unpacked event for August 9th, and the image has what looks like an S-Pen stylus front and center. While they don’t specifically mention the Galaxy Note 9, that’s absolutely what we’ll see in just over a month.

This is a little earlier than last year and aligns nicely with recent reports of an earlier than usual release date. The Galaxy Note 8 was announced on August 23rd and released a few weeks later. Based on this announcement you can expect the Galaxy Note 9 release date to land on August 23rd or 24th in the United States and around the globe.

In the official teaser, we’re asked, “Can you keep up?” Then we see a new shiny gold-colored S-Pen stylus. The latest Galaxy Note 9 news suggests that Samsung will take a major leap with the S-Pen this year. Adding multiple exciting new features, controls, and software tweaks to take advantage of it. Basically, making the Note 9 the powerhouse multimedia device it once was.
