The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is Verizon's first stab at the Galaxy Note series and it's also one of its best smartphones. The Galaxy Note 2 and its 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD display make it part phone, part tablet and all productivity, content consuming beast.

With its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software, applications designed specifically for its unique S-Pen stylus, quad-core processor, fantastic battery life thanks to a massive battery and good cameras, the Galaxy Note 2 is one of the best available Android smartphones and one that will certainly last the duration of a contract.

And while Verizon offers it for an expensive $299.99 on-contract, Amazon will cut prospective buyers a bit of slack on the price.
