The 5 Best Verizon Smartphones [June, 2013]

on

Verizon continues to be a tempting destination for those looking to buy a new smartphone. However, for those that have decided to head to Big Red, choosing which smartphone to buy can be a rather difficult decision, especially now that Verizon has decided to launch its first big smartphones of the year.

The first half of 2013 has been a relatively quiet one when compared to the Verizon Wireless of old. By this time last year, the carrier was already inundated with a ton of new flagship devices. This year though, things have been different. Instead of releasing a flurry of devices, the carrier has decided to sit back and slow things down, opting to release devices at its own pace.

While that decision may not have sat well with consumers, it’s still clear that Verizon is one of the top-notch destinations for those seeking out a new handset for the next couple of years.

Currently, Verizon boasts the largest 4G LTE network in the land with more than 400 markets dotting the landscape. The carrier plans to complete its roll out by the end of the year, long before the likes of Sprint and T-Mobile. Indeed, its massive 4G LTE network is attractive, but so is its smartphone lineup, a lineup that has grown in size in just the past couple of weeks.

Verizon indeed opted to take things slow in 2013 but the pace has picked up with a new flagship arriving at the end of last month and another thought to be on the way sometime in the month of June.

There are also, of course, some other devices that remain at the top of the list, even as they head into their twilight. Because Verizon has so many good smartphones, buying one can be tough.

Here, in an attempt to make thing easier, we breakdown what we think are the five best Verizon smartphones for the month of June, 2013.

The iPhone 5 remains one of the best options on Verizon's network, despite the arrival of several big name challengers.

Apple's current-generation smartphone possesses features that are capable of holding up against even the mightiest of Android devices including a Retina Display that still presents gorgeous content.

Maybe best of all, the iPhone 5 is a device that is guaranteed to live a lengthy life, starting with its first major update, iOS 7, which is slated to make its debut next week at WWDC 2013.

I love my DNA and although it’s not quite up to spec with the S4 or One, l think it should have easily made this list.
